Each year several residencies will be awarded to applicants specifically to develop a body of work, which can be produced and made at Sturt during the residency time, and then promoted and sold through Sturt Gallery. Does anyone have an experience with technical ceramics suppliers? I've found some, like http://www.refractron.com in the U.S., but nothing nationally. I'm looking for something to resist corrosives, like acids. Thanks!

Hi there, I'm a NZ potter coming to Sydney in January for 12 months for an IT contract. I'm wondering if there are any potters in Sydney (central or eastern) that might be keen to sublet / share their workshops and facilities with me for 12 months? I would be there during the evenings and weekends. All my work is handbuilt so no dramas about a wheel; just looking for a sturdy table, drying space and occasional use of a kiln. very happy to pay / share costs to run. Would love to hear from anyone who might be keen to help me out with this. email is This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Hi,

I have a Doall Kiln single phase top loader, with shelves, props, thermocouple. Internal dimensions: 60cm h, w 29cm x 29cm. Full firings books, new elements were put in 2003, new thermocouple 2006. Kiln is in stand, also has a steel wheelbase I had made, so it's easy to manouvre around studio.
