Participants to bring: Copies of their current CVs/artist statements, notebook, pen, lunch and a mug
About the tutor: Sam Wild is the General Manager at NAVA. She has previously worked at the Australian Copyright Council, Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and the South Coast Writers' Centre. She is currently studying for a graduate diploma in Management (Arts) at the University of SA online. Sam resides in Thirroul.
Grant Application Workshop Outline: 10-11am: Introduction to art grants: Types of grants and opportunities available; Funding bodies and philanthropists; Sponsorships; Ways of supporting your arts practice 11am-12.30pm: What grants are available to ceramists? Grants available; Grant forms; Selection Criteria; Assessment process and feedback 12.30-1pm: lunch 1-3pm: Writing a grant application Work through a mock grant application; Project description; Budget; CV; Support letters Exercise in writing a grant application; Break into teams to self-assess each other’s applications; Group discussion on issues arising from writing an application
